We come to you. Land & Sea Detailing is a fully mobile boat and yacht detailing service, we travel directly to your marina, private dock, or storage facility anywhere in Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Hollywood, Davie, and Lighthouse Point. Additional service areas may be available upon request. No drop off, no waiting in a shop queue, we bring the equipment and products to wherever your vessel already sits.

Is boat and yacht detailing your main focus, or just one of many services?
Boat and yacht detailing is our core business and where the majority of our team's experience and equipment is focused, from day boats and center consoles to full superyachts. We also detail luxury and exotic vehicles for clients who want the same standard of care on land, but vessels are what we built this company around and what we service most.
Do you only detail yachts, or do you work on smaller boats too?
We work on boats and yachts of every size. Whether it's a 25 foot center console or a 100 foot plus superyacht, the same mobile service, product quality, and attention to detail applies. Smaller boats aren't treated as an afterthought, and every vessel gets the same standard of care regardless of length.
Yacht Detailing
My yacht's finish looks dull and tired, how often should it actually be detailed?
Gelcoat and paint lose their shine gradually from UV exposure, salt air, and marina grime. For vessels actively used in Fort Lauderdale and surrounding South Florida waters, a full yacht detail with compounding and wax twice a year, spring and fall, keeps the finish looking new. Weekly or biweekly wash programs maintain that shine between full details. Ceramic coated hulls need less frequent compounding but still benefit from regular washing to catch problems early.
My gelcoat is scratched, oxidized, or faded, what actually fixes it?
Oxidation happens when UV rays and saltwater break down the outer layer of gelcoat, leaving a chalky, faded look and surface scratches. Machine compounding is the corrective fix, it removes the damaged layer and restores color and gloss. Once corrected, a ceramic coating bonds to the surface and repels water, fuel staining, UV damage, and contamination going forward. Correction fixes what's already happened, coating prevents it from happening again.
Do I need to haul my boat out just to get it detailed?
No, most yacht detailing in South Florida is done dockside without a haul out. We perform in water detailing for hull sides, topsides, decks, brightwork, and interiors across Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Hollywood, Davie, Lighthouse Point, and Boca Raton, and surrounding marinas. Only full hull compounding below the waterline or true bottom work needs the boat on the hard, and that's a small minority of jobs. For most owners that means no disruption and no haul out fees.
Is ceramic coating actually worth it, or will I be redoing this every season?
A properly applied marine ceramic coating typically lasts two to five years, not one season. Longevity depends on the vessel's sun exposure, use frequency, and maintenance routine, boats in covered storage or used seasonally last longer. We use Gtechniq Marine coatings, among the most proven systems in the industry, so the protection you're paying for actually holds up against South Florida sun and salt instead of breaking down in a few months.
Is my boat too big, or too small, for a proper detail?

Why are my boat's stainless rails and fittings covered in rust streaks and tarnish?
Stainless steel, chrome, and aluminum fittings, railings, cleats, windshields, and trim are constantly exposed to saltwater, which causes oxidation, rust staining, and tarnish over time even on quality metal. This is called brightwork, and left untreated it spreads. We clean, polish, and protect every metal surface back to a mirror finish using professional marine grade products built for saltwater environments, then apply protection to slow how fast it returns.
Teak and Deck Surfaces
My teak deck has turned gray and blotchy, can it actually be restored?
In most cases yes. Teak grays and blotches from sun exposure, mildew, and general weathering, and usually looks worse than the actual damage. We use a two step process, a professional teak cleaner followed by a brightening agent that opens the grain and restores the wood's natural golden color. A premium sealer like Semco locks that color in and protects against future weathering.
Why does my teak deck keep weathering out so fast after cleaning?
Most teak decks need sealing once or twice a season depending on sun exposure and use, and constant South Florida sun accelerates that timeline. If teak is only cleaned and never resealed, the wood is left exposed to UV and moisture again almost immediately, which is why it grays back out fast. Regular sealing on a set schedule prevents the deep weathering that eventually requires aggressive restoration work.
My teak is badly weathered and gray, is it too far gone to save?
Usually not. Even badly weathered gray teak typically responds well to professional cleaning and brightening. Severely cracked or structurally damaged teak has real limitations, but that's the exception, not the rule. We assess every deck individually before quoting any work and give an honest evaluation of what full restoration can realistically achieve versus what can't be undone, so there are no surprises.
